“The True Definition of a B.A.D Chic” is a stage play that highlights some of the barriers between women. SoWright Theater hopes to bridge the gap by focusing more on our likenesses as women rather than our differences. We want to celebrate the uniqueness of ALL women and use those differences to bring us together rather than separate us. Never judge a book by its cover, no one knows the story behind the woman or can walk a day in her heels. Through this theatrical production, our goal is to start the necessary dialogue to evoke change in our communities. With many twists and turns throughout this story, we will ultimately redefine what it truly means to be a “B.A.D. Chic” and give insight into learning to accept and love oneself ...God’s way.

AUDIENCE

Although the targeted audience will be women it is not limited to just women. The message of B.A.D. Chics is a strong message of self-love and forgiveness for everyone.

SHORT SYNOPSIS OF THE PLAY

Singer, Tamera Moss, is elated to find out that she along with her former group mates of the legendary R&B group “B.A.D. Chics” will be honored with a “Living Legend Award”. Stepping back into her past in the music industry means she will have to come face to face with the ghost of her past and face the very woman who almost ruined everything.
